This is a matched pair of AKG C414 Equipped with nine selectable polar patterns, three attenuation levels, and three selectable low-cut filters, the C414 XLS remains one of the most versatile condenser microphones for recording vocals, drums, and acoustic and amplified instruments in the studio or on stage. This microphone was designed to approximate the sonic character of the vintage C414 B-ULS while providing an updated and expanded feature set.

The 1" end dual-diaphragm transducer combined with low-noise electronics provides a wide dynamic range of 134 dB and can support SPL up to 158 dB for a detailed, linear, natural tone. With complete immunity to electromagnetic interference and electrostatics, as well as high humidity tolerance, the C414 prevents unintentional changes to microphone settings. Package includes two shock mounts, two stand adapters, two wind shields, a stereo mounting bar, and a metal carrying case.

Nine selectable polar patterns
The C414 XLS is the multi-instrumentalist in your microphone rig, ready to go whenever needed. Whether it's omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, figure 8, or the four polar patterns in between, there are many ways to get the most natural sound from any instrument – ​​electric and acoustic guitars, drums, and more. Employ a hypercardioid pattern to reduce drum spill, then quickly switch to a figure 8 pattern to balance two vocalists. These easy-access options make the AKG C414 XLS suitable for any studio with limited space in their mic cabinet.
Overload detection LED and low cut filter
The AKG C414 XLS allows you to make better recordings. When acting as a performer and engineer, the microphone's overload detection LED makes it easy to see when input levels are too high. This helps you make the most of the microphone's dynamic range and only trigger the pad when necessary. Its low-cut filter helps contain noise, vibrations, and loud, booming sounds and minimizes proximity effect for balanced recordings. For live sound applications and permanent installations, all controls can be easily disabled for trouble-free use.
Robust metal housing
The all-metal body ensures efficient RF interference rejection so you can use the microphone near transmitting stations, along with wireless microphones or other communications equipment.
