Individual oscillators and filters can now be added and removed as needed, all aspects of the filters are accessed and manipulated on a stunning EQ-style interactive screen, and the darker color scheme is less straining on the eyes in long sessions.

Oscillator-responsive oscilloscopes, a beautiful spectrogram, and full visualization of modulation signals across the entire signal path allow users to see everything they hear, while floating slot panels group active modulation sources into each target control for collective adjustments .

Improved oscillators and filters

It all starts with the oscillators, and the Twin 3 offers four of them - up from the Twin 2's three - with which you can build synth sounds of unlimited depth and complexity.

Completely overhauled and featuring analog modeled drift for subtle random pitch and phase fluctuation, as well as pulse width modulation, tight sync and phase sync, the Twin 3's oscillators are impeccable in their analog authenticity.

Polyphony has also received a boost, with an updated maximum of 64 voices – double the Twin 2's 32 – and Per Oscillator polyphony mode, which cycles through the oscillators with each incoming note.

Massive FX section and new arpeggiator

Twin 3 features a new supercharged FX section, comprised of six colorful processing modules for transforming and polishing signals. Shape dynamics and apply saturation with Compressor and Drive effects; create space and generate rhythmic echoes with Reverb and Delay; and thicken and widen the sound with Chorus and Phaser. It goes without saying that each FX parameter is available as a modulation target, so users can really bring them to life using the Twin 3's envelope generators/followers, XLFOs, XY controllers, sliders, and MIDI sources. The new Arpeggiator, meanwhile, provides endless creative inspiration, with host sync, Groove/Legato and Rate Offset controls, plus a range of note values ​​and order options.

Full preset browser

Replacing the simple menu of previous versions, the Twin 3's new preset browser makes browsing and managing factory and user patches quick and easy. In the browser's simplified interface, presets can be given freely editable tags for search engine filtering, set as favorites, and given author names and text descriptions. If someone has Twin 1 and/or 2 installed, all of their presets will appear in Twin 3 as well.
