Pace iLok 3 is an anti-piracy USB dongle required to authorize programs from AVID and other brands.

You can store up to 1,500 licenses on the third generation iLok, which is three times more than the previous generation. And at 1.5" x 0.5", it's the smallest iLok ever produced. Despite this, it is super durable due to its crack- and crack-proof aluminum chassis. Would-be thieves will have a hard time stealing your iLok, as the new model has a wider, stronger security clip that's compatible with most desktop security cables, and its engraved serial number won't come off without considerable effort. The 3rd generation iLok can hold up to 1,500 depending on the license type. In comparison, the 2nd generation iLok can hold around 500 licenses.

Can I have original iLoks and new iLoks on my account at the same time?

Yes, you can have any combination of old and new iLoks on your account at the same time.

Does the new version of iLok work exactly like the original iLok?

The 3rd generation iLok works in the same way as the 2nd generation iLok. It is also fully backwards compatible.

Can I get Zero Downtime protection on a new iLok?

Zero Downtime is immediately available for 3rd generation iLoks. On a 3rd generation iLok, optional Theft and Loss Coverage (TLC) can be enabled in the iLok License Manager.

Do I have to buy the new version of iLok?

You don't need to buy a new iLok to keep working. Please note that some software requires a 2nd generation iLok or higher.

Will you still sell the 2nd generation iLok?

PACE Anti Piracy will no longer sell 2nd generation iLoks at retail following the launch of iLok 3.
