You also get 16GB of internal storage, plus support for an external hard drive, a full-size SD card slot, and USB-A 3.0 slots for thumb drives. Complete with WI-FI and Bluetooth connectivity,

The latest update to Akai's MPC series, standalone firmware 2.10, introduces 14 new plug-ins to its arsenal, including four instruments (Hype, Solina, Odyssey and Mellotron), seven Insertion Effects (Half Speed, Diode Clipper, Stutter, Diffuser Delay, Sample Delay, Limiter and Granulator) and an amazing AIR Vocal Insert Effect Suite (Vocal Tuner, Vocal Harmonizer and Vocal Doubler). There's also support for any class-compliant audio interface, so you can record and mix tracks directly from your Akai MPC unit. With version 2.10, MPC Live II officially does it all!

Create music wherever inspiration strikes

As an electronic music producer, you never know when or where inspiration might strike, and the best ideas can come when your studio is miles away. The MPC Live II is small and lightweight, so you can toss it in a backpack or messenger bag without even realizing it's there. This fantastically powerful music workstation can run for up to six hours on its built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, so you don't need to be near AC to get creative. And MPC Live II's built-in stereo speaker system delivers immersive sound wherever you go. This top-notch dual tweeter-woofer system gives you a complete picture of your production. A throbbing 808, thunderous bassline, crisp-sounding cymbals—you'll hear it all. Want to work silently? No problem. Turn off the built-in speakers, plug in your headphones and you

Brilliantly simple yet fully flexible layout

The Akai Professional MPC Live II features the same robust multicore processor as the MPC X, along with a bevy of user-requested features. Sequence, edit and cut samples on a bright 7-inch touchscreen, while 16 state-of-the-art MPC pads dynamically respond and provide full velocity and pressure sensitivity, so you can smoothly switch between percussive and melodic instruments. Four capacitive touch buttons and an arsenal of dedicated buttons put all the important functions you need at your fingertips. To top it off, a super-intuitive user interface ensures a laser-focused workflow.

Comprehensive I/O unleashes the true power of your studio

With MPC Live II, you'll be able to realize any project. This versatile music production center comes loaded with three 1/4-inch stereo TRS outputs, plus phono/line-level inputs, USB, MIDI, WI-FI, Bluetooth, and four TRS CV/gate outputs. Thanks to MIDI Multi capability, MPC Live II can drive all of your external MIDI gear, including class-compliant USB keyboards, MIDI interfaces and USB to CV modules. Deep on-track internal MIDI routing, plus comprehensive MIDI routing, makes MPC Live II the perfect centerpiece for your MIDI-based studio. Synthesizers, drum machines, sound modules and much more can be controlled by MPC Live II.

MPC 2.10 offers even more plug-ins and features

When Akai Professional announced DAW software that looked like an MPC in 2012, the electronic music production world went wild. The immediate success of MPC Studio and MPC Renaissance paved the way for the next generation of standalone MPCs and the MPC 2.10 platform. Many producers loved MPC 2.0's ability to record audio tracks along with their loops. This feature alone pushed MPC DAW software out of the beat-making realm into the big leagues with other loop-based DAWs. While they were at it, Akai Professional also updated their time warp algorithm and improved their Q-Link control system. In addition, drag-and-drop MIDI and audio take full advantage of the MPC Live II's touchscreen. With version 2.10, you can now plug your favorite USB class-compatible audio interface into MPC Live II to directly record instrument and vocal tracks. Also included are 14 amazing plug-ins, like the brand new Air Vocal Insert Effect Suite with Vocal Tuner, Vocal Harmonizer and Vocal Doubler effects. With user-focused updates like this one, you're more equipped than ever to produce radio-ready tracks with MPC Live II.

Tons of sample space and room for expansion

With 16GB of internal storage, the MPC Live II offers plenty of room for your sample collection. If you are a sample collector then you will appreciate being able to connect any hard drive (HDDs and SSDs) via the 2.5 inch SATA drive connector or plug an SD card or USB flash drive directly into the MPC Live II and load just a few extra GB of samples.

Splice integration gives you immediate access to your sample library

Splice has been a huge asset to producers, providing millions of high-quality, royalty-free samples, sounds, presets and loops, covering the full range of genres. Akai Professional MPC Live II includes built-in Splice integration to simplify browsing and listening to samples. Thanks to this seamless Splice integration, you'll get quick and easy WI-FI access to your Splice library directly from the MPC Live II's touch-sensitive user interface.

Ableton Link prepares you for cross-platform collaboration

MPC Live II was tailor-made for Ableton Live. It comes pre-mapped to the software right out of the box, giving you intuitive command over clip launch, mixer and instrument macro controls from Live wirelessly via Ableton Link WI-FI or over ethernet using a USB adapter -to-ethernet. MPC Live II is ready for cross-platform collaboration.
