Pro Tools' Commit Track Track prints your channels, processing and all, to free up resources. And you can print from any insertion point in the signal path. Let's say you have a pitch-corrected vocal track and a channel strip. You can print a copy of the tuned vocal without including other processing. This allows you to continue adjusting the channel strip as you mix. Or you can print out all the processing, freeing up DSP resources.

Track Freeze in Pro Tools frees up the DSP, processing the entire track on-the-fly. If your track doesn't need further editing, this is a great way to maximize resources. It even works on auxiliary channels and multi-output virtual instruments! Like Track Commit, you can freeze a track, including up to any insertion point in its signal path. Activate Track Freeze in the channels menu, right-click on the icon or snowflake icon. Defrost in the same way. A Freeze Status icon shows whether channels are frozen and can freeze and unfreeze globally.

Pro Tools has improved waveform preview and batch fade enhancements for fast editing

Aligning edits with Pro Tools is easy. Enhanced waveform preview allows you to see overlapping waveforms, making a layer translucent.
