Inspired by an iconic studio tube condenser microphone

Warm Audio is on a mission to provide professional quality studio gear for engineers, producers and musicians at affordable prices. With the Warm Audio WA-67, they've pushed the boundaries by faithfully reproducing a venerable studio classic using top-of-the-line components—from a custom K67-style vintage capsule recreation to boutique capacitors from WIMA and Solen. If you're looking for the big, big-tube condenser sound featured on iconic recordings from the 1960s and 1970s, but wary of spending thousands of dollars on the collector's market, the Warm Audio WA-67 is your microphone. We put the WA-67 in front of a cornucopia of sources — vocals, piano, guitar and more — and it excelled in every case, delivering a rich, warm sound. And the WA-67 comes with a handful of deluxe accessories, including a spider shock mount, rugged power supply and a premium 7-pin audio cable from Gotham, Switzerland. Pick up your WA-67 today and get ready to take your recording game to the next level.

Professional performance at an affordable price

Favored by countless legendary engineers, producers and musicians, the original 67 reigns supreme in the pantheon of classic tube condensers. Its massive tone featured a renowned capsule design and pentode tube circuitry, and the WA-67 goes out of its way to capture the spirit of its forefather. Meticulously recreated, the WA-67 is sure to impress, with an undeniable tube character that can liven up sterile digital recordings. vintage vibe It is modern performance: the WA-67 has it all for an incredibly low price!

Your new studio tube microphone

When people think of large-diaphragm tube condensers, the application that immediately comes to mind is vocals. Without a doubt, the WA-67 is a stellar vocal mic, but you'll find that it sounds great in almost any application. We 've found it to be a killer drum mic, especially when pushing a FET compressor. And it has incredible articulation and cutting-edge detail, making it a no-brainer for use on any stringed acoustic instrument. There's also enough SPL handling and a -10dB pad to handle big brass blasts, guitar amps and bass cabs. And its three polar patterns — Cardioid, Omni and Figure of Eight — add to this microphone's already impressive versatility.

Explore the sonic possibilities

The WA-67's three selectable polar patterns — Cardioid, Omni, and Figure of Eight — offer immense flexibility when it comes to exploring the sonic possibilities offered by different recording techniques. Figure of eight (bidirectional) is perfect for capturing face-to-face recordings, such as two background singers on one microphone. This pattern also features aggressive side rejection, making it a useful option for miking backline amplifiers and speaker cabinets. With two of these great microphones, you can implement stereo techniques such as Spaced Pair (A/B), XY (including Blumlein), ORTF Array, and Middle Side (MS). You can even mike an entire symphony orchestra—plus the hall environment it's recorded in—with three carefully placed WA-67 microphones configured for Omni.

Quality components make the difference in Warm Audio

Warm Audio doesn't skimp on components, but they do order parts and assemble in bulk, which keeps costs low and provides incredible value. The WA-67 is assembled with premium, fully discrete components such as an EF86 pentode tube, high-bandwidth polystyrene capacitors, and a custom large-core transformer from Lundahl, Sweden. The microphone also features a custom reproduction of the renowned K-67 dual-diaphragm capsule/dual backplate used on early 67s. Premium parts and meticulous design deliver a superior sounding mic — and it doesn't cost a fortune. Give the WA-67 a try in your studio: you'll hear what we're talking about.
