Nectar 3 Plus is an enhanced version of Nectar 3, a revered plug-in among high-end professionals and aspiring amateurs for both ease of use and studio-quality sound. Among the main improvements is an improved Virtual Assistant.
Like many iZotope plugins, this software can analyze incoming audio and generate a custom starting point for your mix. Nectar 3 Plus improves Virtual Assistant's Unmask Mode, giving you more control over how your voice fits into the overall mix. Additionally, RX 8 Breath Control is now included, along with Melodyne 4 Essentials for pitch correction.
Revolutionized Unmask Mode
In larger mixes, voices often compete with other instruments like guitars, pianos, and cymbals. The Nectar 3 Plus helps you manage this issue with an improved Vocal Assistant Unmask Mode. This mode uses Plug-In Communication to help position your voice at the forefront of the mix. You can now control the EQ on any conflicting track, allowing you to reduce the amount of EQ for more subtlety or use Dynamic and Sidechain modes for EQ that responds dynamically to the voice.
Basic Tools for Vocal Processing
- Shape your tracks with a comprehensive drag-and-drop EQ that can follow the harmonics in a voice to automatically smooth out resonances or emphasize pleasing parts of the voice. This EQ can also be used in a dynamic mode for creative or tone correction effects.
- Balance the level of your voice without pumping or other compression artifacts, thanks to an extremely natural automatic level that adjusts the voice within ±3 dB of the selected target.
- Remove the hiss from your voices transparently with the De-esser module.
- Add compression to enhance character or control dynamics with a dedicated compression module, which has several selectable modes for modeling vintage or modern hardware.
- Eliminate unwanted noise with the gate.
- Use automatic pitch correction subtly or go deeper with Melodyne 4 Essentials, included with Nectar 3 Plus.
- Control excessive breathing with the RX 8 Breath Control Module.
