Fully customizable and scalable, Insight 2 lets you visually monitor all relevant information from your mono, stereo, or multichannel mix in a convenient floating window. This window has been redesigned and updated to provide a sleek look more in tune with iZotope's current design scheme. Additionally, the graphical user interface is now resizable: it can span the entire screen or just a small meter floating in the corner of your DAW. So measurement can be adapted to suit your workflow as it changes.
Insight 2 visually guides you through the entire mixing process, allowing you to delve deeper into your audio with intelligent analysis tools and real-time monitoring capabilities. Volume meters are clearly visible with color-coded readings for short-term, momentary and integrated values. Multi-channel RMS measurement is on tap, as is sound field monitoring, a volume history graph, a spectrum analyzer (for frequency content), a customizable spectrogram, and a new addition to the family: the Intelligibility Meter.
This tool works in conjunction with iZotope's new Relay module to help you see, at a glance, whether dialogue is intelligible relative to the rest of the mix. Simply place the Relay in your mix and track the results on the meter. With an easy-to-read scale, you'll discover whether the intelligibility of the dialogue will translate to other listening environments. You can even choose listening environments to see if dialogue will be understandable in moderately noisy or loud environments.
The included Relay module facilitates intercommunication with compatible iZotope products, as well as the ability to monitor audio output affected by third-party plug-ins; the latter function is accomplished by instantly installing Relay as the last plug-in in your chain. The module itself has several useful features, including delay compensation, phase inversion, summing to mono, L/R switching, and high pass filtering.
Fully compliant with EBU R128, ITU-R BS.1770-1/2/3/4, ATSC A/85, OP-59 and other current standards, Insight 2 provides the tools you need to be confident that your audio meets regulations. It is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms and operates in AU, AAX, AAX-AS, RTAS, DPM-AS, VST2 and VST3 formats.
New Appearance
The Insight 2 has an updated design that matches the rest of the iZotope family. Important measurement targets have been emphasized to make the measurement suite easier to read at a glance. Resizable You can now easily resize individual gauges in the main window by clicking and dragging between two gauge frames. Additionally, the main window can be resized to be as small as the smallest meter or to take up the entire screen.

Intelligibility Meter
This meter provides guidance on whether dialogue is likely to be overshadowed by the volume of the rest of your mix. Using iZotope Relay or other supported plug-ins, Insight 2 takes information from your dialogue track and offers recommendations on where the dialogue should be in comparison to the rest of the elements. Choose from different target listening environments that range from low to high noise. This will help you see how your dialogue will translate to different listeners in different spaces.
