A powerful creative tool, the plugin H910 it is a faithful recreation of the original hardware. Use the pitch change ability of the H910 To create specific musical intervals and harmonies, open up your guitars, fatten your snare, apply a subtle organic tweak to synths, or add delays to vocals. At extreme settings, you can create never-before-seen mechanical sounds and effects using auto-oscillation, delay, and anti-feedback.
When purchasing the plugin H910 Harmonizer® , you also receive the exclusive H910 Dual Harmonizer® from the Eventide . This version recreates the popular technique of running two drives H910 in parallel to create lush doubling and other interesting effects.
O H910 and the H910 Dual feature hundreds of presets and include multiple artist presets.
The unique method of changing the pitch of the H910 introduced random 'glitches' into audio and the word 'glitch' into the audio engineer's vocabulary. Not surprisingly, artists found creative ways to use the glitch, and in fact, years later, when the H949 was introduced with advanced glitching circuitry, some users were disappointed by the glitch. In addition to the glitch, all the peculiarities of the original H910 were imitated. The project predates the introduction of CD and digital audio sample rate standards (e.g., 44.1 kHz) by nearly a decade. The system clock at the center of the design fluctuated and oscillated, introducing a degree of randomness to the effect not found in precise digital devices. This was evident in the way the screen flickered between pitch ratio readings.
A Eventide meticulously modeled each section of the analog signal chain to recreate the sounds of the H910 original. O H910 The original was a 100% software-free analog and digital processor that predated the first practical ADC or DSP chips by several years. It used simple digital logic gates and some of the first RAM chips, but it was largely an analog beast. A custom analog-to-digital converter, companding, filtering, and analog feedback combine to give the unit a distinctive sound that this plug-in faithfully recreates.
In 2007, the H910 was inducted into the TECnology Hall of Fame. The list of famous producers, audio engineers and musicians who still use it today – both hardware and plug-in – is a veritable “who’s who” of the music industry. Thicken the drums, create vocal harmonies, and let your guitars fill the track with the best of them. Ask Tony Visconti (David Bowie, Thin Lizzy), Shelly Yakus (John Lennon, U2, Madonna), Tom Lord-Alge (Avril Lavigne, Blink 182, Santana), Tony Platt (AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Bob Marley) ), Laurie Anderson and Eddie Van Halen, to name a few. After having the H910 in your arsenal, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it
