Resurrecting a sought-after and famous compression unit used on many Beatles albums and heard on countless recordings, the Chandler Limited RS124 Compressor with Staggered I/O is a smooth, powerful mono compressor, powered by real analog tubes and with reimagined functions for the modern studio environment. Modeling three distinct versions of the legendary Abbey Road compressor, the powerful RS124 rack unit harnesses the sound and character of the original, but also offers many new functions, including stereo link capability for double the compression, selectable output impedance (classic 200 ohms or the modern 600 ohms) and a new and exclusive SuperFuse mode that greatly enhances the output signal with a livelier sound that will seem to jump straight from your monitors.

The RS124 sports attack control (with settings for each modeled revision), 11-position rebound/release control, a hold setting to keep the source signal compressed to the most recently processed peak, and full input and output attenuation. The original Abbey Road compressor
First designed in 1960 by Abbey Road technical chief Bill Livy, deputy chief Len Page and experienced EMI audio designer Mike Bachelor, the Abbey Road RS124 compressor is one of the most desired and mysterious pieces of recording equipment. already developed.
