Initially recorded with a click, a starting pistol, or even a sine wave, the sound signature of an acoustic space is then extracted and saved as an Impulse Response, or IR. The Altiverb 7 XL contains a wide variety of high-quality IRs, all instantly accessible and fully recoverable.

Easily Find the Ambience You're Looking for
The Audio Ease Altiverb 7 XL makes it easy to find the ambient sound you want. Visual Navigation and Keyword Search provide instant, intuitive access to a variety of acoustic spaces, allowing you to click through photos of rooms to choose the ambiance you want. If you've already found a near-perfect impulse response, the "Similar" option offers similar IRs, helping you quickly find the exact sound you want.
