Audio engineers looking for a highly flexible modeling microphone with impressive recording capabilities should check out the Antelope Audio Edge Note , a small diaphragm condenser modeling microphone with over a dozen classic microphone models suitable for studio and sound applications live. Edge Note is a great solution for capturing a wide variety of musical instruments.

With an exceptionally high sound pressure level of 146 dB, pad attenuation of -10 or -20 dB, and high-pass filtering of 75 or 115 Hz, the Edge Note microphone system is the ideal choice for instrumentalists, sound engineers, and homeowners. studio users looking for an affordable, flexible and high-quality recording tool. Microphone modeling technology reproduces the sound of classic microphone models natively within your DAW or via FPGA processing within an Antelope audio interface (in real time).

iLok 2 or 3 is required to use emulations as native plug-ins in your DAW.

At a glance
  • 13 microphone emulations of classic microphone models
  • Rear electret design provides transparent, balanced sound and accurate transient responses
  • Cardioid polar pattern suitable for a wide variety of recording scenarios
  • Frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz covers the audible spectrum
  • 69 dB signal-to-noise ratio
  • The pad's attenuation selector (-10 and -20 dB) improves close pickup of loud sources, ensuring a clean signal without distortion.
  • Maximum sound pressure level of 146 dB
  • High-pass filter switch (75 and 115 Hz) eliminates low-frequency noise and compensates for proximity effect
  • Metal housing and matte black finish provide style and strength
  • Includes shock mount bracket to eliminate unwanted vibration and provide easy positioning
  • 48 VDC phantom power required
Innovate with all the classics
  • The Edge Note takes on the character of some of the best small diaphragm microphones around, delivering stunning detail and realism.
  • A total of 13 microphone emulations reproduce the sound of legendary microphones used in the best recordings of the last century. They can be used in real time with an Antelope interface (via Synergy Core processing).
  • If the user does not have an Antelope interface, a native plug-in emulation is available for any DAW and microphone emulations can be easily applied to dry audio recording. (iLok 2 or 3 is required to use emulations as native plug-ins in your DAW)
The key to transparent recordings
  • The Edge Note's flat frequency response provides an exceptionally clean signal. Capturing the smallest detail of a graceful guitar or cello becomes an easy task.
  • Capturing audio in the most neutral way, without drastically boosting frequencies across the entire spectrum, ensures that when applied, microphone emulations sound as close as possible to the original microphone being emulated.
Intensity is no longer an obstacle
  • With an astonishing 146 dB SPL, the Edge Note is an excellent choice for recording the loudest sources. Make the most of a drummer's performance or an explosive trumpet solo without clipping the converter.
  • For particularly demanding scenarios, the attenuation block can reduce the level by -10 or -20 dB. Additionally, the high-pass filter makes it easier to handle bass frequencies and the negative aspects of the proximity effect.
