Designed for audiophiles looking for a superlative listening experience at home, the Antelope A M A RI is a reference-grade AD/DA converter. The unit offers everything you expect from Antelope, such as high-quality conversion and Antelope's renowned clock technology. Boasting balanced and unbalanced connections, the unit works equally well in professional and audiophile audio environments.

Whether you use the XLR-1/4" combo inputs or the unbalanced RCA connections, you can achieve PCM conversion at sample rates and resolutions up to 384 kHz / 24-bit. The AMÁRI uses 4 CS43198 chips per channel (eight in total ) to capture every nuance of the stereo image while maintaining the integrity of the music's depth (front-to-back image) at the same time. The unit offers 138 dB of dynamic range to boot.

Digital connections can be secured by AES, coaxial S/PDIF, TOSLINK, and USB 3.1 (Gen 1, Type B connections). Although the unit provides its own powerful clock, you can synchronize it with other sources thanks to two BNC inputs – one for all types of external clocks and one for the Antelope's Atomic 10M clock. AMÁRI's 64-bit clock supports PCM rates up to 384 kHz and DSD rates up to 256. DSD playback occurs via PCM conversion (DoP) and applies only to the D/A side.

Two headphone outputs offer their own DAC architecture for optimal performance. These headphone outputs can be used with balanced 1/4" or demanding audiophile.

Staggered Headphone Impedance Controller
AMÁRAI's 2 high-power stereo headphone outputs (on 1/4" XLR combo connectors feature individual volume controls (limited to 20 dBu max), with digital tuning and selectable output impedance from -4, 6 to 85.3 Ohms. Impedance controls are offered in 17 steps. These options allow you to configure the AMÁRI for optimal compatibility with your favorite headphones, matching their impedance for best performance. AMÁRI's fidelity offers fully differential input per amplifier. It is a dual amplifier design, optimized to eliminate possible temperature variations and offers differential signal quality. The headphone outputs also feature dual DAC architecture for maximum performance.
8 DAC chips
AMÁRI implements an eight-DAC architecture (four CS43198 chips per channel). This enhances the stereo image, expands depth perception and reveals every musical detail with its 138 dB dynamic range. In addition to the main DAC, the headphone outputs feature a dual DAC architecture for maximum performance, as does the main A/D converter. It uses one AK5578 chip per channel, increasing dynamic range by up to 128 dB.
