Vacuum
ASPIRE is the world's first tool for modifying the breathiness of a voice independently of its harmonic content, allowing you to match a vocal quality to a performance style, decreasing or increasing the voice's natural breathiness.
ASPIRE analyzes a vocal in real time and separates the aspiration (breath) noise from the harmonic content. It then allows you to adjust the amount of suction noise and affect its character independently by applying a parametric EQ to the noise component. ASPIRE EVO also includes a real-time display that allows you to visualize the effect of suction noise processing.
Whether it's reducing some vocal noise or adding a little smoke, ASPIRE allows you to modify the quantity and quality of the voice's breathiness or suction noise, without affecting the harmonic characteristics of the vocal.
What does ASPIRE do?
Simply put, ASPIRE analyzes a vocal in real time and separates the aspiration (breath) noise component from the harmonic content. It then allows you to increase or decrease the amount of suction noise, as well as affect the character of the suction noise by applying a parametric EQ to the noise component.
Noise
Suction noise presents itself in several ways, from a subtle sigh to a complete rasp. Of course, whether it's a problem or not depends on the amount of noise and the style of a presentation. A lot of roughness that would work well for shouting punk or rootsy blues might be a problem for mainstream pop or a smooth ballad (of course, it might not, either). Until now, there wasn't much that could be done about it. Now, with the ASPIRE EVO, there is.
ASPIRE's key features include:
The ability to match a vocal quality to a performance style by decreasing or increasing the natural breathiness of the voice
A parametric EQ band to modify the quality of the vocal's aspirate noise component
A real-time display that allows you to visualize the effect of suction noise processing
