Mic Mod
Mic Mod is the microphone modeling tool that makes the microphones you have look like the ones you want.

Spice up your tracks with vintage microphone models from Neumann, Coles and others, as well as modern boutique microphones. Our patented Spectral Shaping Tool™ technology delivers accurate digital models of over 100 legendary microphones. Just tell Mic Mod EFX which mic you're actually using and which mic you'd like it to sound like.

Mic Mod models not only reproduce all the subtle sonic characteristics that make each microphone unique, but also give you control over each microphone's specific options. Does the microphone have a low-cut filter? If yes, it is in the model. Wind screen on or off? Near or far positioning? Each option results in the same sound effect as you would with the real microphone. For that final touch of perfection, you can even add a tasty tube saturation.

Mic Mod offers a huge collection of virtual microphones that you can use to record, mix, and even perform live to get the sound of microphones you would never consider using on stage. It's also a great tool for streaming and podcasting apps.

If you've ever wanted an extensive collection of exotic microphones (but shuddered at the cost), Mic Mod is the plug-in for you. Mic Mod models not only reproduce all the subtle sonic characteristics that make each microphone unique, but also give you control over each microphone's specific options. Does the microphone have a low-cut filter? If yes, it is in the model. Wind screen on or off? Near or far positioning? Each option results in the same sound effect as you would with the real modeled microphone. And for that final touch of perfection, you can even add a tasty tube saturation.

Original and modeled microphone
Just select the microphone you're using (or used during the original recording) and the microphone you want it to sound like.

Proximity
The proximity effect is a bass boost resulting from placing a directional microphone close to a signal source (for example, a singer's lips). With Mic Mod EFX's proximity controls, you can create the effects of different distances from the microphone based on the specific physical properties of each individual modeled microphone.

Low Cut Filter
If the source microphone has a low-cut filter, enter its setting in the source microphone's Low Cut menu. If the selected modeled microphone has a low-cut filter, you can model the effects of any of its settings in the Modeled Microphone Low Cut menu.

Receiving pattern
If the source microphone has variable pickup patterns, enter the pattern selected in the Source Microphone Pattern menu. If the selected modeled microphone has variable pickup patterns, you can experiment with the effects of any of the patterns in the modeled microphone Pattern menu.

Valve Saturation
Based on the same technology as Antares' famous WARM tube saturation generator, Tube Saturation Control lets you give your track the warmth of a high-quality tube preamp.
