Note: Although Essentials and Producer do not have access to all 154 devices and instruments found in Bitwig Studio, their users can still load and play out-of-bounds devices as presets in 'Player Mode' without modifying settings or adding modulators (the devices will appear in a grayed-out state). This allows users with different versions to share and work on project files.

Bitwig Studio Essentials is the one-stop solution for realizing any musical idea at every stage of production.
Essentials has a solid starting lineup of 3 instruments, 17 effects – including our Polymer semi-modular synth and Delay+. It also has a home modulation system with 10 modulators and an essential library of sounds, loops and presets.
The development of this family of modulators and modules has led to a major upgrade of our entire modulation system. In version 5, modulators can do more, such as control track- and project-level parameters and expand in pop-out windows. We've also created new ways to perform live with our software and redesigned browsers to make it easier to find what you need.
